Hello,
My name is Alan Williams, and I’m a Genetics PhD Candidate at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-New Orleans. I’ve studied and worked on Python-based bioinformatics projects, mainly focused on applying AI to signal analysis, DNA repeat detection, and, as of late, protein structure prediction and simulation. My undergraduate biology degree is from Florida State University, where I served as a lab assistant at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory for five years. Additionally, I participated in the Google Summer of Code program where my project focused on developing a physician-facing web application for AI analysis of copy number variants.
